YOUR SCORE ON THIS ASSESSMENT IS SATISFACTORY, BUT THERE IS ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT

You are on the right track. Your score in this assessment is satisfactory, but there is room for improvement. You have shown that in general, you have an adequate ability to understand and manage emotions, but you can develop them further. As a caregiver, working on this is very important, as you are in constant contact with your feelings and those of the elderly in your care during caregiving tasks. Emotions are not always under our control, we feel what we feel. However, the way we react to situations is under our control, which means that we must take responsibility for our actions even at times when emotions are more volatile.
Human beings can feel more than 100 emotions a day, not all of which can be controlled. As a consequence of these emotions, thoughts appear in many cases when we want them to and not when we decide to. In order to control this, we propose to work on emotional awareness. For example, relegate worries to a specific time of the day. When an emotion of discomfort emerges in you and causes you to worry, choose a time of the day when you are calm and relaxed, and when it is possible for you to stop and think about and solve these problems.
Detecting the emergence of the emotion and finding the right time to control and cope can help you to improve your emotional management and achieve greater self-care, taking time for yourself and your emotional wellbeing. So that you can continue to improve your emotional skills, we offer you the free EMOSENIORS resources that have been created especially for you:
